Uploading LoL
Sitting in my usual spot with everything I need around me, including TV remote. Looking around so many projects on the go, half finished, or finished. My phone is also close by and ready for me to sit and listen to latest songs needing to be learnt.
Did I mention that when I am not crafting my next big passion is singing, not professionally but as a part of a group of like minded ladies and gents. Member of a choir split into two the Rockits and the Hearties. When I sing with the Rockits we have fun and enjoy singing along to all genres of music. Then when I sing with the Hearties we are working towards a performance. Our craziest one so far BGT.
Singing helps me relax and is a good distraction from my day job; crafting. Every day I aim to upload at least 2 to 3 items and spend hours checking out competition. If I have finished or half way through a project I like to go on the major sites and check out the style and cost of similar items.
Once I have sat with a tea or coffee and fought with myself I come to a conclusion and settle on a price. Then the time has come to upload the item and press the publish button. Then once it has been uploaded the lack of confidence in my item kicks in. I was told to price your item to cover your hours, supply's and profit you would like to make. But I still get amazed by the price range of most items and I hear myself saying
Wow how are they going to make any money at that price way to low
Ehm that's not to bad middle price but is it still a bit cheap only breaking even
Then WoW again are they really asking that do people buy at that price but looking at their sales they do.
So please help, have I got confidence in my projects to go for the highest price
Choosing which platform to upload onto will also guide the end price. So at moment I am trying out again Etsy higher prices and Folksy middle prices and Marketplace lower end. Bit of marketing to see which one will give me the best results so watch this space.
